Ranveer Singh Steps Out After Second Daughter's Birth

Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone welcomed their second daughter on Sept. 19, and Ranveer has since returned to public life. This is what the couple announced themselves, what reputable outlets saw, and what is still only talk.

The announcement

The couple shared the news in a joint Instagram post that showed a tiny footprint and the words "Welcome baby girl," according to the Indian Express. The post gave the date of birth as Sept. 19, 2026, and named Ranveer, Deepika and their elder daughter, Dua Singh Padukone, who was born in 2024. Nothing beyond what the post says has been confirmed by the family.

First public appearance

The Indian Express reported on Sept. 24 that Ranveer made his first public appearance since the birth at a Mumbai screening of the crime-thriller web series Hunkkaar: The Roar. He wore an all-white suit with sunglasses. As he arrived, photographers congratulated him on becoming a father for the second time, and he smiled, thanked them and posed for pictures with those who asked. The paper reports that his parents, Jagjit Singh Bhavnani and Anju Bhavnani, also attended.

Hunkkaar is created by Nitya Mehra and Karan D Kapadia, stars Aneet Padda of Saiyaara fame with Fatima Sana Shaikh, Ram Kapoor, Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Arjun Mathur and Zoya Hussain, and premiered on JioHotstar on Sept. 25, according to the same report.

The car story

India Today reported on Oct. 12 that Ranveer took delivery of a new BMW i7 after the baby's birth. We could only confirm the headline and its framing. It is a personal purchase and has no bearing on his films, so we are treating it as a light item and not drawing conclusions from it.

On the work front

Indian Express says Ranveer's next release is the post-apocalyptic thriller Pralay, directed by Jai Mehta and also starring Kalyani Priyadarshan. Deepika Padukone is part of the ensemble of Shah Rukh Khan's King, set for Dec. 24, per Mid-day. Ranveer's last big theatrical outing was Dhurandhar, which Movie Talkies lists as his first Rs 300 crore film, with a net of Rs 780 crore, and Salman Khan was asked to choose between Ranveer in Dhurandhar and Ranbir Kapoor in Animal on the Koffee With Karan 9 premiere, according to India Today.
